NOVI Health has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (NUS Medicine) to explore potential research and development collaboration in healthy longevity.
The MOU builds on an existing relationship between NOVI Health’s founders and NUS Medicine, formed through overlapping careers in clinical medicine, preventive health, research, medical education and population health.
For NOVI, it’s a step forward in an area we’ve long been focused on, and the start of a conversation about what we might build together.
Why research matters to healthspan
Health is often measured in discrete numbers: blood glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body composition. These markers matter, but they don’t tell the full story of how someone ages well over decades.
That longer view requires understanding how different aspects of health interact over time, and how clinical care, everyday behaviour and long-term outcomes connect. Answering those questions is where research earns its keep.
At NOVI, we think supporting long-term health takes both good clinical practice and a stronger evidence base for how ageing actually works. Combining medical expertise with ongoing research is central to how we approach healthy longevity.
What the MOU covers
The MOU sets up a framework for NUS Medicine and NOVI Health to explore:
- Joint research projects
- Exchange of scientific and technical information, data and materials, where appropriate
- Future projects of mutual interest in healthspan and longevity
The specific areas of collaboration haven’t been determined yet, and any resulting research or development work will require separate agreements between the two parties. This MOU is a framework for exploration, not a commitment to particular studies or outcomes.
Building on an existing relationship
This collaboration grows out of a longstanding relationship between NOVI Health’s founders and NUS Medicine, built across careers spanning clinical medicine, preventive health, research, medical education and population health. That shared background is part of what’s shaped NOVI’s interest in how healthcare can better support people over the long term.
What’s next
The next step is identifying where NUS Medicine and NOVI Health’s interests genuinely overlap, and shaping potential projects from there. Any outcomes will depend on the work that follows and the specific agreements put in place.
We’re looking forward to continuing the conversation with colleagues at NUS Medicine, and to seeing where our respective expertise can contribute to the field of healthy longevity.
