Dr Sue Anne Toh

Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Medical Director

Dr Sue Anne Toh is a Senior Consultant Endocrinologist with almost 20 years’ experience in internal medicine, diabetes and metabolism.

She was previously Senior Consultant, Endocrinology at the National University Health System (NUHS), where she led person-centred care models to improve care integration and outcomes, particularly for patients with complex medical conditions. She specializes in the management of a wide spectrum of conditions including diabetes, lipid disorders, metabolism, weight management and cardiovascular risk management.

Dr Toh is a recipient of national and international awards including American Heart Association Awards, Singapore’s National Medical Research Council Clinician Scientist Award and Public Service (PS21) Gold Award.

She continues to be active in research as an Honorary Visiting Consultant at the National University Hospital (NUH), and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.

Dr Joanne Tay

Founder, Chief Operations Officer

Dr Joanne Tay is a public health specialist with almost 20 years of experience in the government sector.

She was Director of the Health Services Integration and Development Division at the Ministry of Health in Singapore, where she led the Secretariat for the National Diabetes Prevention and Care Taskforce, and drove the coordination and implementation of whole-of-nation initiatives for the War on Diabetes. She also led the strengthening and integration of the community-based care system.

Dr Tay was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Bronze), received the Minister for Health Commendation Certificate for Contributions to SARS control efforts, and is also a three-time recipient of the Permanent Secretary for Health Award.

Dr Tay obtained her medical degree from the National University of Singapore, and her Master of Public Health from Columbia University, New York, USA.

Dr Kyle Tan

Founder, Chief Product and Business Development Officer

Dr Kyle Tan is a Preventive Medicine Specialist. He has 10 years of clinical experience and has practised in the primary care, tertiary hospital and community settings.

Dr Tan has a keen interest in chronic disease prevention and management and has designed and implemented multiple screening, preventive health and chronic disease management programmes.

He continues to be Adjunct Assistant Professor at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, where he leads a data analytics research team.

Dr Tan was formerly Deputy Head (Planning and Development), Regional Health System Planning Office and Consultant in Preventive Medicine at the NUHS, where he shaped NUHS’ population health strategy. He was previously heavily involved in the development of the Ministry of Health’s (MOH) “Action Plan for Successful Ageing”, for which he received the Permanent Secretary for Health Award for his national-level contribution.

Mr Alexey Pakhomov

Head of Engineering

Mr Alexey Pakhomov is a technical leader with more than 15 years of experience in technology and entrepreneurship.

He has worked across numerous industries, ranging from corporate travel to online gaming to ride sharing. His largest undertaking was starting and scaling a corporate travel company over the course of eight years, where he expanded operations across multiple offices around the world.

Alexey holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. His passions include health and longevity, quantified-self biohacking, entrepreneurship, and sustainability.

 

Our Team

Dr Todd On
Associate Consultant, Family Physician

Dr Todd On is an Associate Consultant, Family Physician who brings with him 13 years of clinical experience in the tertiary hospital and community settings. During that time, he cared for the young and old, working with a team of doctors, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals across the health and social sector to ensure the delivery of person-centred care to address patients’ acute and chronic care needs.

Throughout this time, Dr On also participated and led multiple quality improvement projects including a smoking cessation programme with the Health Promotion Board, and a collaboration with Tan Tock Seng Hospital to reduce lower limb amputation in people living with diabetes.

Passionate about teaching, Dr On is a Faculty Tutor and Mentor with the College of Family Physicians Singapore for the Master of Medicine (Family Medicine) and Graduate Diploma Family Medicine, and has won multiple teaching awards for undergraduate teaching with NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.

Dr Yeo Junjie
Family Physician

Dr Yeo Junjie is a Family Physician with a keen interest in chronic disease and weight management. He completed the Post Baccalaureate Premedical Program at Columbia University in the City of New York in 2012 and later graduated from the Duke-National University of Singapore Graduate Medical School with a Doctor of Medicine in 2017. Dr Yeo subsequently obtained his Graduate Diploma in Family Medicine in 2020 with the College of Family Physicians.

Dr Yeo is experienced in the management of chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. Dr Yeo has also contributed to the community by carrying out public education and outreach programs, including a radio talk show on topics pertaining to health and prevention such as vaccination, as well as participation in community-based health screening events.

Dr Yeo is a recipient of the SingHealth Best House Officer Award, and he was also awarded the Duke NUS Medical Student Fellowship Award and the Duke NUS Achievement Prize for Most Outstanding Third Year Translational Science Research Thesis for his research elucidating the genetic basis of acute and chronic pain in our local population.

 

Angena Teo
Senior Dietitian

Angena is a Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (USA) and an Accredited Dietitian of Singapore with the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association. She has more than 17 years of experience working as a clinical dietitian in the United States and Singapore.

She is an advocate for preventing chronic diseases through empowerment and aiming for sustainable changes. She believes that each person would benefit from having the dietary knowledge to care for themselves and their loved ones.

Angena initially specialized in providing nutritional advice for pre- and post-natal women, infants, and children before transitioning to caring for adults with chronic diseases, nutrition support and weight management issues. Most recently, she was providing medical nutrition therapy and consultation to older adults undergoing sub-acute and rehabilitative care.

Angena holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nutritional Sciences from Rutgers University, New Jersey, USA. She went on to complete her dietetics training at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and obtained her Master of Public Health at the University of Leeds, UK.

Elizabeth Sin Tzun Chong
Senior Dietitian

Elizabeth Sin Tzun Chong is an Accredited Dietitian of Singapore with the Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association (SNDA). She has over 9 years of experience in providing medical nutrition therapy in hospital settings. She provides dietary and lifestyle modification advice to patients with chronic disease conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, chronic kidney disease. Apart from that, she also looks after patients who need nutrition support before, during and after their surgery. She specializes in renal nutrition. In the past, she conducted various dietary group talks and healthy cooking demonstrations in both hospital and community events in English, Mandarin and Malay. She enjoys sharing practical, sustainable dietary tips to help people to stay healthy and improve their medical conditions.

Elizabeth holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Dietetics from National University of Malaysia.

 

Joel Chia
Senior Dietitian

Joel is a dedicated dietitian with over 6 years of experience in diverse acute settings, including general medicine, surgical, geriatric, cardiology, and intensive care units. His outpatient experience spans sports nutrition, weight management, nutrition support, and chronic disease management, contributing to clinics such as the Diabetes, Obesity, Metabolic and Endocrine Centre and Singapore Sport & Exercise Medicine Centre (SSMC) at Changi General Hospital.Being a strong advocate of exercise, Joel was an Advisory Board Member for Exercise Is Medicine Singapore (EIMS) in 2023, contributing to global initiatives promoting physical activity in preventative healthcare. He has also demonstrated his leadership as Placement Educator/Clinical Supervisor for several student dietitians. Joel holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from Flinders University (2017), complemented by certifications as a Certified Allied Health & Fitness Professional (EIMS), Certified Personal Trainer, and Sports Nutrition Specialist (NCSF).

Chad Han
Senior Dietitian

Chad is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with Dietitians Australia, and an Accredited Dietitian of Singapore (ADS) with the Singapore Nutrition & Dietetics Association. He is a recipient of the Ministry of Health Overseas Scholarship and obtained his Bachelor (Honours) degree from Flinders University of South Australia. He also received his PhD in nutrition and dietetics from Flinders University, with the support of the Australian Government Research Scholarship for Internationals.

Chad has been providing medical nutrition therapy to individuals in a range of hospitals, clinics, and home settings for over 10 years, both in Singapore and Australia. He has also published many peer reviewed research articles on nutrition management and telehealth in diabetes, nutrition, and exercise to reverse frailty in older adults, and is actively researching ways to improve health services in chronic disease management such as diabetes and cancer.

 

Mee Li Yap
Senior Dietitian

Mee Li is a clinical dietitian with more than 10 years of clinical experience. With her firm belief that the right food and a healthy lifestyle can mitigate the risk of chronic diseases, Mee Li is passionate in the use of medical nutrition therapy to help individuals with various medical conditions. She has a keen interest in diabetes management and was the Clinical Lead Dietitian for Diabetes at KTPH Diabetes Centre, focusing on lifestyle intervention in managing diabetes and its complications.

Besides clinical work, Mee Li also shares her knowledge with other healthcare professionals, corporates and the public through workshops and talks. She also seeks out opportunities to be involved in research and quality improvement projects.

Liu Qing
Staff Nurse

Liu Qing is a staff nurse with over 9 years of clinical experience in a variety of hospital and home-based settings. She is adept in working closely with multi-disciplinary healthcare professional teams to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans for patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical conditions.

She is familiar with triaging, phlebotomy, medication administration, vaccinations, wound dressing, and catheter insertion. She is also trained in pain management as well as the administration of chemotherapy according to protocols. She has led inpatient nursing teams and served as a mentor and coach for new and junior nurses. In the home-based setting, she has helped discharged patients to adapt to the home environment and routines.

Liu Qing holds a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing Science from Curtin University and a Diploma in Nursing from Parkway College Singapore.

 

Zenn Lim
Clinic Assistant

Zenn has a Diploma in Health Service Management and more than 10 years experience in customer facing roles within the healthcare industry. With her years of experience in healthcare administration, she understands patients' needs and concerns when it comes to giving them administrative advice and treatment. With her warm heart, she is capable of giving comfort and assurance to patients and their family. Zenn always brings positivity and shares every possible enlightenment to patients and family members.

Outside of work, she is also a certified and passionate Yoga practitioner who believes in staying holistically healthy to promote good health and vibes.

Farzira Hairudin
Operations Executive

Farzira has more than 9 years of experience in administrative and operational work. She spent 5 years in the National Health Group (NHG) Research & Development Office – Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB), where she performed administrative reviews of research study amendments to ensure complete and accurate submissions. She also assisted investigators to understand and implement DSRB policies and procedures, as well as provided administrative and organisational support for DSRB meetings, public forums and conferences.

She subsequently spent 2 years in the National University Hospital System (NUHS)’s Singapore Population Health ImpRovement Centre (SPHERiC), where she coordinated several rounds of the SPHERiC seed funding grant programme, managed the awarding of successful seed grant proposals, developed and published bi-annual SPHERiC newsletters, and organised training and workshops for the research community.

She enjoys meeting people and strives to ensure a positive and friendly experience when interacting with customers.

Farzira graduated from Republic Polytechnic with a Diploma in Biomedical Science.

 

Sylvester Goh
Health Coach (Fitness)

Sylvester has over 9 years of experience in Personal Training. He has helped multiple clients with a wide variety of body types to achieve their fitness and body recomposition goals, while employing various strategies to make the training fun and exciting. He has completed the Elite Coaching certification course from the International Sports Science Association which includes certifications for Certified Personal Trainer and Specialist in Bodybuilding, Group Fitness, and Sports Nutrition.

Sylvester has a Bachelor’s Degree in Murdoch University’s Tourism and Events Management, which has armed him with skills in decision-making, logical problem-solving and communication. A strong believer in self-development, Sylvester clinched first runner-up in Manhunt 2015, also winning the “Best Physique” title as part of a pageant that showcases one's personality, social intelligence, and physical attributes.

Salam Bin Ismail
Health Coach (Fitness)

As a personal trainer, Salam's core expertise lies in training for weight loss, body conditioning and toning, strength training, and pre- and post-natal fitness. He has used this expertise during his stint as the personal trainer for The Biggest Loser Asia Season 2 winner. He is also experienced with working closely with specialist doctors to develop training curricula for individuals with serious health issues, and with sportsmen ahead of their competitions. 


Salam takes pride in his ability to customize and suggest variations in his training programs for his clients, catering to each individual's specific need. When he is not training with clients, he enjoys spending time with his family and 'training' his children to be confident people with grit.

Augustin Seng
Business Development & Project Manager

Augustin is a healthtech enthusiast who loves finding ways to improve the standard of care for people. He believes that with just some of the simplest modern technology, quality of care can improve greatly. 

With a background in biomedical science, he has been in the telemedicine and healthtech field for 9 years and he helped to create one of the first telemedicine platforms in Singapore under MOH’s telemedicine sandbox initiative. Augustin’s role in NOVI Health spans business development, project management, marketing and analytics.

Chin Ying Soh
Growth Marketer

Chin Ying is passionate about making a positive impact on people's lives. In her role as a Growth Marketer at NOVI Health, she focuses on creating communities and guiding individuals toward improved health through NOVI Health's programs. Her commitment to using marketing as a force for good extends throughout her career, with a focus on the Education and Education Technology sectors previously.

Her favorite source of protein is chicken, and she enjoys ballet, yoga, and traveling.

 

Shu Yi Ho
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager

Shu Yi has spent over 6 years optimizing websites so that they better answer customers' queries both in an agency and in-house capacity. Along the way, he has worked with insurance, technology, and healthcare clients, enabling businesses to grow their organic search traffic over time.

In his free time, he wanders the city with his trusty DSLR snapping shots of food and the cityscape. He aims to seek a balance between his love of food and a sustainable, healthy diet.

Rahman Rahim
Social Media and Content Creator

Rahman brings with him years of marketing, communications and content production experience across diverse platforms in both public and private sectors.

In his spare time, he enjoys working out, travelling and indulging in cinematography films.

 

Desiree Ong
Product Designer

Desiree is a multidisciplinary creative who specializes in product design and visual communications. She is most passionate about helping businesses harness the power of design thinking through her diverse past experience in e-commerce, advertising, and tech.

During her undergrad years, Desiree’s most significant achievement was when she founded and led a brand design studio, where the team, comprised of young creatives, adeptly crafted solutions for local and international clients.

Off work, she enjoys working out and traveling. On weekends, she can be found painting street murals or indulging in cat-naps with her beloved furry companion.

Sean Tan
Patient Service Associate

Over the past decade, Sean has dedicated himself to customer-facing roles across various industries. He has held leadership positions in the Food and Beverage sector, where he managed and oversaw restaurant operations prior to transitioning to healthcare.

Inspired by the pivotal role of the healthcare industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, Sean decided to redirect his expertise and transition into a different field. His most recent role involved working at a dental practice where he regularly managed treatment coordination for patients, helping him to further sharpen his communication and problem-solving skills.

He takes pride in his ability to empathize with patients and uses this understanding to recommend suitable treatments and their potential benefits. He finds a great sense of fulfillment in knowing that he has contributed to helping individuals embark on their path to a healthier life, driving his commitment to providing support and guidance to those seeking assistance at NOVI.

Outside of work, Sean enjoys hobbies such as fishing and games of mahjong. He is also an avid animal-lover with a particular interest in aquatic life.
